Join us in welcoming Andrew Yerkes, E.I.T., back to Trotter and Associates, Inc. as a Staff Engineer. After earning his B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Purdue University and achieving his Engineer in Training (E.I.T.) designation, Andrew returns to our Oak Brook office, building on the experience he gained as a Trotter intern. His internship provided valuable insight into our projects, team, and culture, creating a seamless transition into his full-time role. We're proud to welcome Andrew back as he begins to build his career at Trotter and Associates, Inc. 

This summer, 16 interns are gaining experience where engineering starts—on the ground. Alongside experienced mentors and project teams, they're contributing to municipal infrastructure projects while developing technical, field, and professional skills that extend well beyond the classroom. Five returning interns are building on last summer's experience and sharing their perspective with new members of this year's class. Recruiting for Trotter’s 2027 Internship Class begins this fall! Our engineers, technical staff, and interns recently gathered at the Oak Brook office for a deep dive into valves. From design considerations to real-world applications, the team had the opportunity to deepen their understanding and share insights across experience levels. Investing in training like this helps ensure we continue delivering practical, high-quality solutions for the communities we serve. A key part of the Trotter internship experience is seeing projects take shape where the work is happening. Last week, Project Engineer Cade Sundstedt met with Trotter interns at a City of Woodstock roadway improvement project, sharing a field perspective on how municipal infrastructure projects advance from planning to final construction.
