Illinois American Water Company (ILAWC) owns and operates a water distribution system that serves more than 240 customers (predominately commercial) in Woodridge, Illinois. The distribution system is located south of Interstate I-55 and is situated around the Joliet Road and Internationale Parkway corridors. The project included of the installation of approximately 2,000 feet of new water main along Lemont Road from Naples Lane south to 109th Street. The purpose of the project was to improve fire flows in the southeast portion of the service area through looping the distribution system. Additionally, the improvements provide transmission to potential new residential customers along the corridor.

TAI designed and permitted the proposed improvements, including acquiring a permit to directional drill beneath Lemont Road, which is under the jurisdiction of the DuPage County Division of Transportation. Trotter and Associates Inc. also completed the preparation of the easement documents for the acquisition of eight required easements.

Construction was completed in the fall of 2014.
