The Village of Fox Lake has contracted with Trotter and Associates, Inc. to design and construct a new roadway as part of the Lakefront Park redevelopment initiative. Valued at approximately $1.4 million, this undertaking will serve as the primary means of access for the residents and businesses along Nippersink Road, adjacent to Lakefront Park.

The new access project includes:

• Demolition and grading.
• Asphalt pavement with curb and gutter.
• A retaining wall mirroring the main wall at the local Metra station.
• Public utilities down the hillside along the lake.

The project also includes new water main improvements installed to bring municipal water to the residents and businesses and updates to the stormwater utilities within the area.

TAI’s Dustin Priebe, P.E., is managing the construction, which started in June 2023 and is anticipated to be completed by November 2023. The project is currently on track to finish under budget and ahead of schedule, resulting in another successful project between the Village of Fox Lake and Trotter and Associates, Inc.
