Using GIS for Mainstreaming Collecting of Asset Information

Jun 04, 2018

Mark Dupree, Manager of GIS Services, will be presenting “Using GIS for Mainstreaming Collection of Asset Information” at the 2018 Illinois Collection Systems Conference at the NIU Naperville Campus on Wednesday, June 13, 2018. We all know about GIS (Geographic Information Systems) and what it can do, but how do you use is to effectively collect and maintain asset information?

This workshop will review some of the problems related to asset collection and some low-cost ways to bring GIS out of the back office and into the field, the front office and to the public. We will cover efficient ways to collect, edit and maintain asset information, along with ways to store and to share the critical parts of your operation to the people that need it most.

The 2018 Illinois Collection Systems Conference is a one-day workshop where you can earn 4.5 PDHs (CEUs) while you learn about GIS Collection, Lift Station & Sanitary Sewer Condition Assessment Using Standard Municipal Data, Tunneling Under the Des Plaines River, Subsurface Stormwater BMP’s, Microbial & Chemical Transformation of Wastewater in Sewer and Performing a Desktop Analysis to Justify Funding a Sustainable Sewer Asset Management Program.  You will also have the opportunity visit with multiple collection systems professionals/vendors.
