Trotter Speaks at WEF-AWWA Student Chapter

Sep 13, 2018

Trotter and Associates was pleased to have Liz Heise (Bohne) and Chris Marschinke speak at the recent WEF-AWWA student chapter group.  WEF’s Student Chapters are professional organizations for students with an interest in the environment or becoming more active in the water industry. Student Chapters provide an avenue for the exchange of information and ideas between students, academics and members of the Water Environment Federation.

Liz is the new Students and Young Professionals Chair for the Central States Water Environment Association (CSWEA).  She is taking over the role from Chris Marschinke who held the position for the past 5 years and has moved on to become CSWEA Illinois Section Chair.

Liz and Chris talked with the student chapter about the water/wastewater world and the opportunities available to them as students in WEF/AWWA. The students from this group will attend the upcoming WEFTEC conference.  The conference is recognized as the world’s largest annual water quality technical conference and exhibition, providing extensive educational opportunities and unparalleled access to the field’s most cutting-edge technologies and services.  This incredible opportunity is sponsored by CSWEA.

Today’s students will be creating new standards and methods in improving water quality.  Trotter is dedicated to help encourage and develop the new leaders in this ever-growing industry.
