TAI is working with City of St. Charles for a New Dual Wet Well Lift Station

Sep 07, 2022

The Riverside Lift Station Replacement Project includes construction of a dual wet well lift station at the northeast corner of IL Route 25 and Devereaux Way in St. Charles, out of the 500-year floodplain. The new 35 MGD station will include raw sewage screening, eight raw sewage pumps, a 1 MW emergency backup generator, and a biological odor control system. Several historical monuments will be relocated to a new area built as part of this project, which will also include public restrooms and a walking path. The project also includes replacement of aging infrastructure, collection system flow monitoring, and demolition of the existing lift station.

Check out this drone footage of the General Contractor crane lifting their excavator out of a dig more than 25 feet deep into bedrock. This is at the proposed location of the Riverside Lift Station for the City of St. Charles, IL. The excavation was completed nearly a month ahead of schedule thanks to some excellent work by Whittaker Construction & Excavating, Inc. – Off to a great start!
