TAI Project Engineer Liz Heise will be presenting at the CSWEA Annual Meeting on her work with Global Water Stewardship (GWS). GWS is a nonprofit organization that provides sanitation education and operational support for wastewater collection and treatment systems in Latin America. TAI is a longtime sponsor and supporter of this organization. Her presentation will include a case study on the community of La Fortuna, Costa Rica, where GWS has been working for 4 years a partner to the local water authority. La Fortuna was the subject of the 2020 GWS Student Design Competition and has received grant funding to go forward with preliminary design of a new wastewater treatment facility. There will also be an update on other GWS initiatives. Liz has been involved as a volunteer of this organization since 2016 and has been chair of the group since 2019.
