Trotter and Associates, Inc. is delighted to announce that the Village of Fox Lake will be hosting a groundbreaking ceremony to mark the transformative revitalization of Lakefront Park. The ceremony is scheduled for Monday, June 26, 2023, at 12:00 p.m. at the park's location on 71 Nippersink Boulevard in Fox Lake, Illinois.

For years, Lakefront Park has been a beloved recreational haven, captivating residents and visitors with its breathtaking views of Nippersink Lake and various outdoor activities. With the upcoming groundbreaking ceremony, the community is embarking on an ambitious endeavor to enhance the park's amenities, solidifying its position as a premier destination for leisure and family enjoyment.

The Lakefront Park project is poised to introduce an array of exciting improvements that cater to the diverse interests of Fox Lake's residents and visitors. Notable features include:

• The establishment of an outdoor amphitheater for concerts and community events.
• The addition of outdoor pickleball courts.
• An upgraded splash pad and playground.
• Convenient restroom facilities.
• The creation of a beach area with a shaded shelter.

Trotter and Associates, Inc. is proud of its involvement in this project's planning and construction oversight. TAI collaborated closely with the Village, the Landscape Architect - Site Design Group, and contractors while considering resident feedback to bring the envisioned park enhancements to life while adhering to the allocated budget.

The majority of the construction efforts will focus on the park's infrastructure. Crews are actively engaged in building the north and south access roads and parking lots. Once the infrastructure is finalized, work will continue on the south side of the existing lakefront park building to begin construction on the various park amenities. The Village’s goal is to have a significant portion of the work completed by 2023, with some ongoing construction during the winter months. The Village of Fox Lake anticipates a grand opening by Memorial Day 2024.
