What are we doing:
Trotter and Associates typically hires 3-5 interns and utilizes the internship program as a recruiting tool to identify future leaders within the company. TAI’s interns work directly with our young professionals and are provided practical experience to help advance their career. Interns typically assist in engineering studies, provide support with ongoing designs, receive training with respect to topographic surveys and perform construction observation.
Trotter and Associates currently serves Northeastern Illinois and Southern Wisconsin. Our staff lives within the communities which we serve. We are seeking highly motivated individuals from top Universities with a strong work ethic.
Candidates that are native to Northern Illinois and Southern Wisconsin are given preference. Each candidate is evaluated based on previous experience, community service, academic accomplishments, work ethic, communication skills, and the ability to contribute to the future of TAI.
Shain Hennessy, from Morris, Illinois, has just completed his junior year and is pursuing his Civil Engineering degree at University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. Ryan Moeller is a freshman in civil engineering at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign working towards a primary degree in environmental and a secondary in structural.
This past fall, TAI employed Dylan Pruter, a high school sophomore, through the joint work program with St. Charles High School called Project Synergy. We are excited to have him join our survey team this year as a summer intern.
TAI assigns each of our interns to one of our experienced staff members for the duration of the summer, allowing each student to gain practical experience while applying the knowledge that they have gathered from their respective schools. TAI hopes that these young professionals will gain a greater understanding of the field in which they aspire to work in through our outstanding internship program.
