Recognizing the importance of practical work experience in a young professional’s life and the need to develop their skills, Trotter and Associates Inc. has consistently provided internship opportunities to civil and environmental engineering students. This year, TAI has committed to providing internships to four outstanding young engineers and one administrative professional.

Max Heidgen of Batavia has completed his junior year and is pursuing his Civil Engineering degree at Iowa State University. Cody Hansen is currently majoring in Civil Engineering and minoring in chemistry at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. Ricardo Perez, senior, and Jake Benner, sophomore, also attend the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign for Civil Engineering. Lindsay Walker of Algonquin is currently pursuing her accounting degree at the University of Tampa.

Each intern will have the opportunity to work with our experienced staff for the duration of the summer, allowing each student to gain practical experience while applying the knowledge that they have gathered from their respective universities. TAI hopes that these young professions will gain a greater understanding of the field in which they aspire to work in through the internship program.
