The Village of Holiday Hills Sanitary Sewer Project will receive almost $1 million in federal funding to extend Northern Moraine Wastewater Reclamation District (NMWRD) sanitary sewers to residents in Holiday Hills, Le Village Vaupell, and unincorporated McHenry County. U.S. Representative Bill Foster requested the project funding to provide critical water infrastructure to improve public health, mitigate flooding, and serve McHenry County residents for generations. The project will benefit the area by improving water quality and gradually eliminating environmental deficiencies. Representative Foster toured the Holiday Hills/ Le Village Vaupell project last year along with Scott Trotter, President of Trotter and Associates, Inc. The engineering vision for this project is to maintain a sustainable municipal wastewater utility while expanding services to unsewered communities, protecting public health, and preserving the environment by reclaiming precious water and other resources.
